Get to Know Us
The Coastal Chilli Company was established in 2022 by horticulturalist and chilli enthusiast, Paul Roebuck. It is a small independent family business situated between Southampton and Portsmouth, in an idyllic rural location, a short walk from the Solent and views of the Isle of Wight. We grow one of the widest ranges of Chillies in the UK, ranging from super tasty, no-heat varieties, to ones that are super spicy and insanely hot, so something to satisfy all tastes.

We sell most products online and trade at UK chilli festivals during the summer months and specialise in larger specimen plants, laden with pods to help deliver a successful harvest.
About our Chillies
Our chillies are ‘cold grown’ in an unheated greenhouse, in the most environmentally friendly way that we can achieve. We use recycled materials in our peat-free compost and strive to minimise water usage, with drip irrigation, and avoid the use of pesticides to control pests. We use an array of ‘good bugs’ including ladybirds and lacewings, to keep our plants healthy.
All of our plants and chilli pods are home grown, so that you can be assured of their provenance. We never use air freight, making sure our chillies tread as lightly on the planet as possible. The varieties that we sell are carefully selected from Chilli breeders around the world and constantly updated, to allow us to offer new and exciting varieties every season.

Our range includes varieties that are suitable for growing on a sunny windowsill, a sunny, sheltered patio or in a greenhouse or conservatory.

Our Fresh Chillies
Our fresh chillies are available from August to November and are packed with flavour and bursting with goodness, are slow grown, and as free from artificial nasties as can be.
In addition to being delicious, they are packed with nutrients including vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that can help boost your immune system and promote healthy ageing.

Fun fact: Chilli peppers are better for you than oranges! As it contains nearly twice the level of vitamin C.
